5mm Standard Stubby Holders

The 5mm Standard has a thicker, more structured feel.

It keeps its shape rather than folding flat and uses a sturdy rubber base, so it tends to feel more like a piece of merchandise than a lightweight giveaway.

5mm Overlocked Stubby Holders

The 5mm Overlocked version adds visible stitching around the edges.

It gives the holder a more finished, traditional look and works well when the design is intended to feel like proper branded merchandise rather than a simple promotional giveaway.

It works well when you want something more detailed or premium but don’t necessarily want a 5mm holder.

Which Stubby Holder Should You Choose?

There isn’t really a “best” style.

It depends on what you’re doing with it.

If you’re ordering hundreds for a company event and handing them out for free, the 3mm Foldable is often the practical choice.

If you’re selling them as merchandise or including them in a higher-value gift pack, the 5mm options may make more sense.

For weddings, both can work. Some couples want something lightweight and easy to place at every seat, while others prefer the thicker feel of a structured 5mm holder.

That’s why we prefer to start with the occasion, quantity and budget rather than pushing everyone towards the same product.

Business logo orders are one of the main reasons Clinkies exists in the first place.

Back in 2021, more and more companies were coming to us asking for custom stubby holders. That growing demand was what pushed us to build a dedicated website and make the whole ordering process more straightforward.

The biggest questions weren’t usually about whether we could print the logo.

But we still wouldn’t recommend ordering 500 simply because the unit price looks cheaper if you only need 150.

Logo Artwork Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect When You Contact Us

A lot of business customers think they need to prepare finished print-ready artwork before asking for a quote.

You don’t.

A good-quality logo file and a clear idea of what the holders are for is usually enough to get started.

Vector files such as AI, EPS, SVG or PDF are ideal, but high-resolution PNG files can also work depending on the artwork.

From there, the design can be adapted to the holder.

We’ve always been interested in the fact that a stubby holder tends to stay around.

One business customer told us that after using our custom holders in a company promotion, they saw roughly three times the response they had seen from a previous campaign and noticed more repeat customers afterwards.

For a 150-guest outdoor wedding, the lighter foldable style may be the practical choice.

For a smaller wedding where the holders are part of the table styling, the 5mm option may feel more special.
